Weimer Gros Flores was established in 2010, when Architect, Kevin Gros, and Interior Designer, Amy Flores teamed up with Architect, Richard Weimer to carry the firm's long history into the future.
Our original firm began with Architect, Fernand Picou, in 1949, shortly after his graduation from Princeton University. The early focus of the firm was educational facilities at a time when South Louisiana was prospering and the need for modern facilities was growing. Fernand provided the leadership and expertise in designing innovative schools in Lafourche, Terrebonne, Assumption, and St. Mary Parishes.
In 1963, after graduating from LSU, Richard Weimer joined Fernand Picou and collaborated with him on the design of numerous projects. Richard eventually became the owner of the firm and expanded his portfolio of projects until he transitioned ownership in 2010. He has remained very active in applying his educational experience to the new owners of the firm.
In 2020, our firm welcomed Architect, Lloyd "Andy" Positerry II as an additional Partner to help us carry our vision forward. Andy is a resident of Houma and a graduate of LSU School of Architecture with over 25 years of experience in the field.
The firm has been especially successful in creating beautiful interior and exterior spaces that offer a pleasing integration of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical elements.
